School bus attendant wins district’s annual transportation award

FAIRPORT, N.Y. — School bus attendant Patti Hyman has been named Pupil Transportation Employee of the Year for Fairport Central School District.
Hyman has worked for the district since 2005. Officials said that she was recognized for her dedication as a school bus attendant and for being a valuable asset to bus drivers over the past 10 years.
In her role, Hyman said she enjoys the daily interaction with students, their families and the bus driver she works with.
Hyman was recognized on May 4 at the 15th annual Professional Pupil Transportation Employee Appreciation Brunch, which honors employees of the year at area school districts.
