MADAWASKA, Maine — The parents of an elementary school student here recently donated more than $3,000 worth of camera equipment to be installed on two school buses, Fiddlehead Focus reports.
On Nov. 20, Michelle and Chad Morneault donated funds to the Madawaska School Department to buy two REI Bus-Watch camera systems, after a camera installed on one of the district's school buses captured images of a motorist who almost ran over their daughter earlier this month, the news source reports. The images show the motorist driving past the stopped school bus with its warning lights flashing and stop-arm deployed, according to Fiddlehead Focus.
