SAN DIEGO — New Jersey contractor B.R. Williams Inc. has been awarded a $50,000 grant for Zonar hardware.

The grant is a partnership between the National School Transportation Association (NSTA) and Zonar. Bill Brinton, executive vice president at Zonar, presented the grant at NSTA's Midwinter Meeting in San Diego on Monday.

B.R. Williams, which is based in Woodstown, New Jersey, will use the funds to outfit school buses with the component hardware needed to use Zonar’s technology systems.

The grant was exclusive to NSTA private school bus contracting members.

"We are excited to again partner with Zonar on this grant opportunity and are pleased that this opportunity helps one of our member contractors," NSTA President Tim Flood said. "This opportunity affords members access to valuable tools to improve operations and keep them at the forefront of the industry's best practices."

During the NSTA Midwinter Meeting, members convene for legislative updates, committee meetings and other association business.

The Midwinter Meeting will conclude on Wednesday with an NSTA board of directors meeting.
