New Safety Vision DVR monitor offers all-in-one solution
The Sentinel DVR Monitor combines an 8-inch LCD touch screen display, control box, and emergency backup battery with four camera inputs and a bonus input.

HOUSTON — Safety Vision LLC introduced its new Sentinel DVR Monitor, which combines an 8-inch LCD touch screen display, control box, and emergency backup battery with four camera inputs and a bonus input for an all-in-one solution to onboard safety and security.
The monitor is designed to be a solution for campus and paratransit fleets, pupil transportation, first responders and small to mid-size transporters of valuable cargo or passengers.
The full-featured DVR records onboard video and captures sharp, clear images for each of the four channels, while also providing the safety of a rear vision system, according to company officials. It also offers full D1 recording capabilities, and monitor views can be quickly switched to single, double, triple or channel display using an intuitive configuration touch screen menu.
Playback menus are also simple to navigate on the monitor, company officials said. The Sentinel accepts up to four 32 GB secure digital cards for a total of 128 GB of storage, which allows for up to 148 hours of recording time with four channels. Recorded video comes complete with metadata that provides accelerometer data, GPS location, active triggers and time stamp.
“The launch of solutions like our new Sentinel DVR Monitor that can provide our customers with everything they need in onboard security and meet safety challenges with a rear vision option in one system puts us on the right path to customer value,” said Bruce Smith, president of Safety Vision LLC. “This system is the perfect choice for customers who need simplified, affordable solutions for mobile safety and security.”
