The new SafeGuard BTI school bus seat can now be ordered in IC Bus models.

WESTFIELD, Ind. — A new version of the SafeGuard BTI school bus seat is now available, IMMI announced on Thursday.
Starting this month, the updated SafeGuard BTI can be ordered in IC Bus school buses. The seat is designed to allow school bus operations to upgrade with lap-shoulder belts or integrated child seats by swapping the seat back.
According to IMMI, the SafeGuard BTI is now lighter and easier to maintain.
“At SafeGuard, we’re always pushing to innovate the next big thing in school bus seat safety, and the SafeGuard BTI doesn’t disappoint,” said Larry Gray, CEO of IMMI. “We wanted a seat that was easier than ever to upgrade but also the safest seat on the market. The SafeGuard BTI delivers.”
The crash-tested seat includes SmartFrame Plus technology, designed to protect both belted and unbelted students in a crash. Another BTI feature is the TattleTale Indicator, which indicates whether a seat should be replaced after a crash.
