New partnership takes aim at stop-arm running
Under the agreement, American Traffic Solutions’ automated School Bus Stop Arm Enforcement Solution CrossingGuard will be powered by AngelTrax’s IntelliGuard Stop Arm Enforcement Camera System. AngelTrax President Richie Howard says that the companies’ system “will help raise awareness in our communities of illegal school bus stop arm running and potentially save children’s lives.”
American Traffic Solutions (ATS) and AngelTrax have formed a strategic alliance that aims to reduce injuries and fatalities from illegal school bus passing.
The alliance brings together ATS, which provides road safety camera solutions, with AngelTrax, which provides mobile surveillance technology for school buses and other industries.
“AngelTrax has a proven track record and expertise in the school bus safety industry,” ATS CEO James Tuton said. “We’re excited to work with a quality company that shares our commitment to using technology to enhance public safety.”
Officials said that the partnership will enable both companies to leverage core strengths to produce a robust, high-quality product specifically designed to reduce school bus stop-arm running.
Under their agreement, ATS’ turnkey, automated School Bus Stop Arm Enforcement Solution CrossingGuard will be powered by AngelTrax’s IntelliGuard Stop Arm Enforcement Camera System.
“This strategic partnership demonstrates the commitment of AngelTrax and ATS working together to pursue the shared goal of further enhancing pupil transportation safety,” said Richie Howard, president and CEO of AngelTrax. “AngelTrax and ATS are combining our strengths to deliver an unparalleled stop-arm violation detection system that will help raise awareness in our communities of illegal school bus stop-arm running and potentially save children’s lives.”
The companies said that their solution will also help school officials and law enforcement agencies more effectively enforce stop-arm running laws.
