The web-based meetings and workshops will be held from Nov. 16 to 19, according to an email announcement that Mike LaRocco, president of NASDPTS, sent to members on Friday. They will include several of the federal agencies and presenters who regularly partner with the association on policy and regulatory issues that directly affect states and student transportation. Those agencies include the National Transportation Safety Board, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and the Environmental Protection Agency.

The interactive sessions will be spaced throughout the week, along with NASDPTS’s annual business meetings and its State and National Associations Council (SNAC) and Supplier Council meetings. Most sessions will be scheduled starting early afternoon, Eastern time, to accommodate participants in time zones across the U.S. There are no registration fees.

The association typically holds its annual conference in the fall in conjunction with the National Association for Pupil Transportation, and had initially planned to convene in person in Grand Rapids, Mich., in early November. However, both associations postponed their annual conferences this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
