CINCINNATI — A woman who pleaded guilty to assaulting her daughter’s school bus driver in October was sentenced to three years of probation on Tuesday, WLWT reports.
Kiesha Shannon appeared in court to be sentenced for an alleged assault of bus driver Deamber Martin, in which Shannon reportedly pulled her car in front of the bus, forcing it to stop, pried open the doors, shouted at the driver, and attacked her, injuring her face. Although more than four minutes of the assault were recorded on video, Martin said the attack went on for about 30 minutes, according to the news source.
Martin showed her injuries in court, and described having her nose fractured, her ear bitten, and her face scratched, and said she was spit on and suffers from back pain, WLWT reports.
Shannon’s lawyer said that she regrets the incident and has been going through anger management therapy, according to the news source. The judge said he had limited options for sentencing, which is why Shannon was not given jail time.
