ST. PETER, Minn. — For 74-year-old Paul Aasen, a school bus driver for Saints Bus Services, the knowledge that he’s providing a service to his community and young students makes his job fulfilling, St. Peter Herald reports.
Aasen took the job in 2001 and hasn’t looked back. He told the newspaper that he plans to drive for as long as he is physically able to. He also provides training to new drivers in the company, and Dan Hilligoss, manager at Saints Bus Services, said Aasen is an exemplary driver.
Aasen told St. Peter Herald that one thing he enjoys most about his job is being able to talk to the students he transports. He said that his goal is to be a mentor to them and encourage them to be respectful riders and students.
