WARRENVILLE, Ill. — IC Corporation redesigned its RE school bus with improvements in serviceability, entry/egress and driver environment.
To give technicians better access to the engine, IC mounted the radiator on the right side of the compartment and included a standard, left-side engine access door. The RE also offers a flasher panel upgrade for improved electrical servicing.
In the front end, the RE has new headlights and headlight panel; a standard, electrically operated passenger door with a wider field of view; and standard air brakes with ABS.
Michael Cancelliere, vice president and general manager of IC, said that the company will soon introduce enhancements to its FE model.
IC also announced changes to its management team.
Dennis Huffmon was named assistant general manager. Huffmon will aid Cancelliere in the company's day-to-day operations and focus on long-term business strategy and global growth. He replaces Dave Beebe, who was promoted to a new assignment within Navistar, IC's corporate parent.
Jeff Shank was named manager of national account sales. Shank will be responsible for overseeing the company's commercial bus sales to its national account customers, and he will coordinate activities with its suppliers as well as its dealer network.
