Each session will take place at the school bus manufacturer’s plant in Tulsa, Okla., and the registration fee is $400. That includes instruction by IC Bus trainers as well as materials, transportation and lunches. The training sessions are limited to 60 participants per offering.

“IC Bus is the market leader in the North American school bus industry, and remains focused on building and maintaining the best relationships in the business,” said Carl Webb, vice president and general manager, IC Bus. “By offering this program, we are investing in our customers’ bottom lines by providing technicians with additional education and proficiency with our products.”

IC Bus University, a customer-focused training program for technicians, was developed to optimize service and maintenance proficiency and to broaden technician knowledge of IC Bus products. Company officials said that since 2008, more than 1,000 school bus technicians have participated in the program.

The program includes a full tour of the IC Bus facility in Tulsa and comprehensive information on parts, service and maintenance.

Technicians will also have access to focused training sessions scheduled during the day and night that are designed to provide an in-depth look at IC Bus components, including: AkzoNobel paint, electrical systems, braking systems, MaxxForce engines, Specialty Manufacturing stop arms and crossing controls, and Trans/Air Manufacturing air conditioning.
