OAK CREEK, Wis. — Go Riteway Transportation Group has appointed Brad Penneau as its new vice president of safety.
Penneau, a native of New Berlin, Wis., has spent his entire career as a transportation safety professional and is a leading authority on fleet safety, according to a news release from Go Riteway. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Cardinal Stritch University and has held leadership positions at trucking companies such as Schneider National and Con-Way Freight, safety consulting firm J.J. Keller, and most recently, Verizon Connect Fleet Telematics.

“Our ‘safety first’ philosophy drives every aspect of our business,” said Bob Zanotti, president of Go Riteway. “Safety is our number one core value so finding a top safety executive with extensive experience who matched our level of commitment to safety was critical.”
Penneau has earned safety certifications from The North American Transportation Management Institute, is a certified highway watch trainer thorough the Transportation Security Administration, a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (a professional who can explain the Six Sigma philosophies and principles), and a certified trainer for Smith System's defensive course. He is widely published on fleet safety and has spoken on safety topics to industry associations across the country on fleet safety, regulatory compliance, and best practices.
“My experience is that when you start with a culture of safety, everything else falls into place,” Penneau said. “I find great reward in influencing and guiding others in the best safety practices.”
