Georgia school bus driver prevents vehicle break-ins

AUGUSTA, Ga. — A school bus driver was honored by the Richmond County Board of Education last month for preventing vehicle break-ins. She alerted security during a school event when she overheard suspicious activity in a parking lot.
During a basketball game between Murphy and Hephzibah middle schools on Nov. 29, Jennifer Vest overheard two people discussing their plans to break into cars during the game. Vest immediately contacted school safety and security officers, The Augusta Chronicle reports.
Officers located the suspects in the parking lot. The pair immediately fled the scene.
