Gatekeeper Lands Major School Bus Deals as Revenue Surges

The video solutions provider announces contracts with Atlanta Public Schools and other fleet operators as it records quarterly revenue growth and expanding subscription business.

Last April, Gatekeeper Systems Inc., a provider of video and data solutions for school buses, announced a new school bus video and subscriptions contract with Atlanta Public Schools in Georgia.

Under the contract, Atlanta Public Schools will upgrade its full fleet of 325 school buses with new Mobile Data Collectors and interior video and subscribe to Gatekeeper’s video management software offering for Live View Wireless, video analysis, and storage. The contract is valued at approximately $1.2 million USD plus monthly-recurring subscriptions.

Atlanta Public Schools is one of the oldest and largest school districts in Georgia, serving approximately 50,000 students.

Other Company Partnerships

On March 27, the company also announced a school bus video and subscriptions contract for an unnamed district in Delaware. Under the contract, a full fleet of school buses will undergo a technology refresh to install new Mobile Data Collectors and new interior video systems and subscribe to the company’s video management software offering for video analysis and storage. The contract is with a school district that is an existing customer, and is valued at approximately $333,000 USD plus monthly recurring subscriptions.

On March 17, it announced a school bus video contract with a Canadian bus manufacturer and a corresponding subscriptions contract with a student transportation provider, both unnamed in the announcement.

Under the contract, more than 230 school buses will be factory-equipped with interior video, Mobile Data Collectors, and subscribe to the company’s video management software offering for video analysis and storage. The manufacturer is producing new school buses for a student transportation provider, which is providing services to school districts in the U.S. The contract is valued at approximately $937,000 CAD, plus monthly recurring subscriptions.

Gatekeeper Revenue Report

Gatekeeper Systems also recently reported the following financial results for fiscal Q2 2026:

  • Approximately $50.3 million in new business contracts announced during the current fiscal year, of which $6.8 million was recorded as revenue during the six months ended February 28, 2026.
  • Revenue for the three-month period ended February 28, 2026 was the company’s highest-ever fiscal second quarter revenue, increasing 75% to $10.4 million compared to $5.9 million in the prior year.
  • Revenue for the six-month period ended February 28, 2026 increased 23% to $16.3 million compared to $13.2 million in the prior year.
  • Gross profit for the three and six months was $4.4 million and $7.1 million, respectively, compared to $2.3 million and $5.5 million in the prior year comparable periods, representing an increase in gross profit of 92% and 30% respectively.
  • Gross margin as a percentage of revenue for the three and six months was 43% and 44% respectively compared to 39% and 41% in the prior year comparable periods.
  • Operating expenses for the three and six months were $4.2 million and $8.5 million respectively compared to $3.6 million and $6.8 million in the prior year comparable periods, representing an increase in operating expenses of 16% and 25%, respectively.

During this period, Gatekeeper commenced its largest-ever project, a $27 million transit video contract for New York MTA’s Long Island Rail Road.
