FirstGroup America names human resources exec
Tim Young joins the company as senior vice president of human resources and labor relations, where he will oversee the human resources, labor relations and benefits function of First Student and First Transit. Young will also supervise the payroll division for all of FirstGroup America.

CINCINNATI — Tim Young has joined FirstGroup America as senior vice president of human resources and labor relations.
In the role, he will oversee the human resources, labor relations and benefits function of First Student and First Transit. Young will also supervise the payroll division for all of FirstGroup America.
“I am pleased to have this opportunity with such a strong organization within the transportation industry,” Young said. “I look forward to the challenges ahead as I work to make a positive impact within my department. My goals are to provide a set of practices and procedures that will enhance the organization and support its employees.”
Young comes to FirstGroup America from Duro Bag Manufacturing Co., where he served as vice president of human resources. Prior to that, he held various human resources leadership positions for the Sara Lee Corp., where he worked for 20 years.
Young is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and resides in Cincinnati.
