MCLEAN, Va. — Edupro Group announced three pre-conference workshops for the 2008 Transporting Students With Disabilities & Preschoolers National Conference and Exhibition. The eight-hour sessions will run in conjunction with the main conference, which will be held in Little Rock, Ark., from March 7-12.
During "Employee Relations Compliance: Getting it Right Before the Fight," Peggy Burns of Education Compliance Group will provide an executive briefing and discuss solutions to problematic employment practices. Mark Hinson, assistant superintendent of Adams 12 Five Star Schools in Thornton, Colo., will co-host.
"Child Safety Seating: NHTSA's 2008 Revised Curriculum" will provide up-to-date information about the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's best practices for child securement on the bus. Attendees will have an opportunity to participate in a hands-on learning session hosted by instructors who wrote the curriculum.
Bill Hoosty of WRH Consulting Group Inc. will host the third workshop, titled "Getting the Boss 'Onboard': Planning, Proposing and Persuading." In this two-part session, attendees will learn how to effectively present their ideas to bosses and other decision-makers.
