Darrell “DJ” Johnson has been transporting students for 31 years, including 16 for Bloomfield Hills (Mich.) Schools. In the district’s new “Heart of Bloomfield” series, Johnson hands out high-fives and hugs, and he points to the greatest reward of the job: “the love of those kids.”
