WRIGHT TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A school district here was forced to cancel classes after an audit found that more than 30 school bus drivers had incomplete background checks, WNEP reports.
The drivers for Crestwood School District were unable to service their bus routes on Oct. 24 and Oct. 25, leaving many students without transportation to and from school, according to WNEP.
On Oct. 26, the district operated routes on a two-hour delay, with teachers riding on six of the buses, WNEP reports in another story.
Rinehimer Bus Lines, the school bus company the district contracts their buses with, was responsible for conducting the driver's background checks, and worked to have all of the drivers paperwork cleared by Oct. 29, according to the news source.
