Canadian Pupil Transportation Conference to Return in 2018

NIAGARA FALLS, Ontario — School bus technology, labor trends, and innovation are among the topics on tap for the 2018 Canadian Pupil Transportation Conference.
The event, held every two years, will take place in Niagara Falls, Ontario, May 13 to 16 this year. The conference hotel is the Marriott on the Falls, and the one-day trade show will be held at the Scotiabank Convention Centre.
Conference sessions will cover such subjects as emissions standards, school bus video surveillance and privacy, shared services, the changing labor market, wheelchair securement, school bus Wi-Fi, autonomous vehicles, and GPS and apps.
Keynote speakers on the schedule so far include innovation and trends expert Max Valiquette and training and development consultant Sharlene Mitchell, who will give a presentation titled "Creating a Culture of Innovation." Another session will be helmed by improv comedy duo Debra McGrath and Colin Mochrie (of “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”).
Also on the program are several musical performances, including an elementary school choir with chimes and a First Nations drum and dance group.
