School bus loses rear wheels during route

IOWA CITY, Iowa — Researchers at the University of Iowa have published a study showing that school buses are one of the safest forms of transportation in the state. They found that when compared with overall vehicle crash fatality and injury rates, fatalities in school bus crashes were more than three times less likely, and injuries during bus crashes were more than five times less likely.
