Boy suffers scrapes in fall from bus
The boy opens the handle for the emergency door on his school bus as the bus veers left on a curve. He is thrown from the vehicle and sustains scrapes to his face and head.
COACHELLA, Calif. — A boy who fell out of a school bus here on Monday suffered scrapes to his face and head, KESQ reports.
California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers said that as the bus driver navigated a curve and the bus veered left, the boy opened the handle for the emergency door and was thrown from the vehicle.
The boy was flown to a medical center by a CHP helicopter for treatment.
