MESA, Ariz. — Bullet Proof Diesel has released a new line of EGR coolers for Cummins diesel engines.
The EGR coolers, which feature patented “H-Core” technology, are now available for Cummins ISB, ISC, ISL, QSL, and L9 engine platforms, according to a news release from Bullet Proof Diesel.

The H-Core technology allows for the natural expansion and contraction of cooling tubes inside the EGR cooler — which reportedly limits structural failure that can occur at the end of the tubes, rupturing the EGR cooler and leading to possible engine component damage, according to the supplier. The H-Core construction also increases the surface area of the coolant tubes within the EGR coolers, making them more effective heat exchangers than other tubed designs, according to the supplier.
Bullet Proof Diesel said that it aims to provide a permanent EGR cooler solution, in contrast to stock units, which often need to be replaced, in many cases. The supplier also said that it is currently seeking input from fleet managers and professionals to help determine the solution's future applications.
