247Security offers new fleet management system
With TouchDown, users can manage all elements of video without pulling footage from hard drives. The solution also provides a complete GPS track record of vehicles’ activities and G-Force information is collected continually, not just when an event occurs.
ALPHARETTA, Ga. — 247Security Inc. has developed a new fleet management system that combines the elements of video, GPS and G-Force: TouchDown.
With TouchDown, school district transportation departments and school bus contractor companies can manage all elements of video from their offices, without the need to pull footage from hard drives.
TouchDown also provides a complete GPS track record of fleet vehicles’ activities. Through TouchDown, this information can be retrieved and viewed within a simple application that links GPS and video.
In addition, G-Force information is collected continuously, not just when an event occurs.
Company officials said that combing video, GPS and G-Force will also help to reduce operations’ costs and save time.
For 247Security customers, TouchDown works with existing digital video recorders.

The company will launch the TouchDown system at the 2010 National Association for Pupil Transportation Summit in Portland, Ore., in October and November.
