PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Two school bus drivers were arrested and charged after a fight at their bus depot here last week, police said.
The women, who were preparing for their afternoon runs, were allegedly involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical, at which point they were separated.
Portsmouth police said that one of the women then went to her personal vehicle and retrieved a stun gun, which she allegedly hit the other woman with several times before being restrained by others.
Responding officers arrested 34-year-old Shannon Carter-Brooks, who was charged with assault and battery and possession of a stun gun on school property, and 36-year-old Vonda Braswell, who was charged with assault and battery and released on a criminal summons.
No children were present in the area during the incident.
