Top District Fleets: Georgia District Holds Top Spot for Second Year
Gwinnett County Public Schools remains No. 1 among School Bus Fleet survey respondents with 1,630 route buses transporting 135,000 students for annual mileage of 23,000,000.
This marks the second year in a row for Georgia’s Gwinnett County Public Schools taking the top spot among survey respondents.

For the second year in a row, Gwinnett County Public Schools in Lawrenceville, Ga., reached the No. 1 spot of School Bus Fleet’s Top District Fleets survey, with 1,630 route buses, up from 1,543 last year.
The top five included four southeastern school districts, with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools in North Carolina coming in second with 928 route buses, Polk County Schools in Bartow, Fla., reaching fourth place with 525 route buses, and Cherokee County School District in Canton, Ga., at No. 5 with 404 route buses.

Albequerque (N.M.) Public Schools, No.7 on the list with 389 route buses.
Tennessee’s Germantown Municipal School District coming in at No. 10 with 299 route buses.
Washoe County School District in Reno, Nev., taking spot No. 15 with 221 route buses.
Anne Arundel County Public Schools in Annapolis, Md., at No. 18 with 202 route buses.
Deer Valley Unified School District in Glendale, Ariz., at No. 20 with 190 route buses.
Kanawha County Schools in Charleston, W.V., coming in at No. 23 with 163 route buses.
Fort Zumwalt School District R-II in O’Fallon, Mo., taking spot No. 24 with 132 route buses.
North Penn School District in Lansdale, Penn., at No. 25 with 128 route buses.
