DVR automates video storage
Video+Plus is a DVR system featuring HandsFREE and VideoTRACK technology. HandsFREE Wireless Data Transfer automates video storage by sending video over a wireless network to a PC, reducing time and labor typically spent on transferring files manually. VideoTRACK software synchronizes video with GPS data and continuously tracks vital vehicle data. Video+Plus also provides motion picture quality and storage for over 30 days of video on continuous-cycling recording.

DVR module shows route info
With the IntelliTrax VSM Module built into AngelTrax Mobile DVRs, children can be viewed leaving the bus with video synchronized to the route map. The VSM feature displays a map of the exact position, name of street, speed and time of a stop. Other information recorded includes door activity, reverse, brake, stop arm, right turn, left turn and amber lights.

LED provides wide coverage
The 7-inch G2Max LED warning light with sideguard illumination provides 180 degrees of beam coverage so that a school bus is visible to approaching vehicles from all oncoming directions, helping to reduce illegal passing. The surface-mount design provides weather-tight seal to the bus body. Features include standard and strobe flash modes, low amp draw and corrosion-resistant aluminum housing.

Single-unit seat foam developed
UniFoam is a form-fitting composite foam used for school bus seats. It has a dense urethane core and fits directly over a seat frame, while its surface is composed of a vinyl-type material that adheres to the energy-absorbent foam envelope, creating a one-piece seat and eliminating the need for a vinyl slipcover. UniFoam is flame-resistant and FMVSS 302 and 222 compliant.

Retarder system saves wear
The EPM-ECM electro-magnetic retarder control system saves up to 50 percent of current consumption by using pulse width modulation, saving the batteries and alternator from wear. The system interfaces with ABS and ESP, employing “ramp up” and programmable time delay features after an ABS event has taken place. Functions like low-speed switch-off, brake cruise control, temperature control and function control lights are standard.

Step tread has innovative design
PebbleTread, a step tread, has a raised, non-directional nub pattern that provides strong traction for a variety of vehicle entry applications. The tread material is permanently bonded to a heavy-duty, non-metallic polymer backing for corrosion resistance, and the nosing and tread are permanently fused to ensure durability. Color options include black, blue, gray, green, light gray, mahogany and tan.

Device illuminates danger zones
The Bright-Vision Safety System illuminates a school bus’ danger zones, thereby improving the driver’s mirror views in low-light situations. The system comprises a PVC rope of LEDs that mounts to the side of the bus. A microprocessor-based controller automatically senses operational inputs in the bus’ loading and unloading process to determine the optimal time to activate and de-activate Bright-Vision.
