Stock acquires Perry Rand’s student transportation
With the acquisition of this division of Perry Rand Transportation Group Ltd., officials say Stock Transportation will gain approximately 100 new drivers and operate 67 additional routes in Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia.
BARRIE, Ontario — Stock Transportation Ltd. has completed the asset acquisition of the student transportation division of Perry Rand Transportation Group Ltd. in Nova Scotia.
With this acquisition, officials said Stock will gain approximately 100 new drivers and operate 67 additional routes in Annapolis Valley.
“We are extremely pleased to welcome Perry Rand’s employees and customers into the Stock family,” said Kim Worster, Stock Transportation’s chief operating officer. “We are bringing together two strong companies that share the same priority of safe and reliable student transportation.”
“We’re pleased that Stock Transportation took an interest in our student division, as Stock has a strong reputation in the marketplace,” said Shane Buchan, president and owner of Perry Rand, which has served students since 1963.
Officials said the Perry Rand buses will operate under the Stock Transportation name and with the continued leadership of General Manager Tina Coldwell.
In September, Stock Transportation announced that it had acquired the student transportation division of McLellan Transportation Co. Ltd. of Kirkland Lake, Ontario.
