Veteran New York transportation director moves to new district
Michael Dallessandro was recently named transportation director at Greece Central School District, which operates more than 200 route buses and transports 11,500 students daily. Dallessandro has worked in pupil transportation for more than 25 years.

GREECE, N.Y. — Michael Dallessandro was recently named transportation director at Greece Central School District.
Dallessandro assumed the new position with the ninth-largest district in New York on Aug. 26. Greece Central School District operates 203 route buses and transports 11,500 students daily.
Most recently, Dallessandro served as human resources manager at the Buffalo, New York, location of Rural/Metro Medical, which is a private ambulance and fire protection services provider.
Dallessandro has worked in pupil transportation for more than 25 years and has 32 years of experience in emergency services as a volunteer firefighter. He has served as a consultant, trainer and speaker, as well as the transportation director for other districts in New York.
Dallessandro is also an editorial advisory board member and a frequent contributor to School Bus Fleet.
