Travis Pryor is a recent graduate from the University of Maryland with a bachelor's degree in communications, and officials say he has had several internships in his field of study relating to marketing, public relations and more. Pryor replaces Megan Benfatti, who has left the association to pursue an opportunity to further her website and web development talents.

Sarah Feinberg has served in the Obama Administration as a special assistant to the president and senior advisor to former White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel. Most recently, she managed Facebook’s Washington, D.C.-based outreach and communications as well as the company’s political and crisis communications.

Rachel McCleery to leave NSTA

McCleery will end her tenure at the association on Aug. 30 to do press and correspondence work for a Michigan congressman. McCleery joined NSTA in July 2011 as communications and operations manager, and officials say she was a valuable asset to the association, having advanced its social media exposure and updated its operating systems.
