At Geotab Connect 2026, Geotab announced the launch of its next-generation GO and GO Plus telematics devices, built on a new shared architecture designed for faster processing and improved data handling.
The updated devices collect high-fidelity vehicle data and feed it directly into the Geotab intelligence platform, helping fleets reduce costs, improve safety, and streamline operations. Designed to minimize the need for aftermarket sensors and complex installations, the new hardware delivers expanded functionality out of the box.
The GO Plus model is engineered to support advanced, AI-based edge computing, preparing fleets for future on-device AI innovations.
“Fleets are under pressure, rising costs, tighter margins, and increasing complexity. The GO device family was built to meet that challenge,” said Raymond Dikun, vice president, hardware product platform and connectivity. “It includes more functionality out of the box, so customers do not need to add hardware or build custom setups to get what they need. It’s a simpler way to handle complexity and keep businesses moving forward.”
Two Device Options for Different Fleet Needs
The GO serves as the new standard device for modern fleets, offering:
- Advanced vehicle diagnostics for fuel tracking, engine health, and EV performance
- Built-in Bluetooth for driver apps and wireless asset tracking
- Integrated input/output monitoring for specialized functions like PTO tracking and remote immobilization
- Tamper detection with “last gasp” alerts if the device is unplugged
- Compatibility with Geotab’s camera systems and IOX expansion add-ons
The GO Plus is designed for more complex and high-security operations, featuring:
- Satellite-ready connectivity for remote asset tracking
- Integrated Wi-Fi hotspot for in-cab connectivity
- Wi-Fi client mode for faster depot data uploads
- Enhanced accident reconstruction with backup power
- Government-grade security standards
Both devices are designed to capture high-quality data that powers Geotab’s AI tools, including Geotab Ace, enabling predictive insights and automated decision-making across fleet operations.
“Reliable AI starts with reliable data,” said Mike Branch, vice president of data and analytics at Geotab. “This new device raises the bar for data quality and continuity, proving the level of detail and accuracy that AI solutions need to generate valuable and trustworthy insights. It’s a complete pipeline, from processing to conversation, designed for the future of connected, intelligent fleets.”
Together, the new hardware and AI platform aim to provide fleets with scalable, future-ready telematics solutions. The Next Gen GO and GO Plus will be available in North America in Q2 2026, with a global rollout to follow.
