OTC’s crankshaft and cam tools for Detroit Diesel engines are designed to improve school bus shop efficiency.
The supplier’s Crankshaft Seal and Wear Sleeve Installer (shown here) positions the front and rear crankshaft wear sleeves and seals on Detroit Diesel Series 60 and two-cycle Series 92 engines.
The Cam Gear Alignment Fixture, which is also designed for use on Detroit Diesel Series 60 engines, allows technicians to pull the cam drive gear hub and thrust plate forward for camshaft and/or thrust plate seal removal and installation, according to the supplier.
Additionally, OTC’s Cam Gear Retaining Tool is used to hold the cam gear on Detroit Diesel Series 60 engines stationary without causing damage to the cam gear and retaining the cam bolt during removal or installation.
The Crankshaft Alignment Tool ensures proper crankshaft alignment during camshaft timing inspection and service of Detroit Diesel Series 60 engines. The tool is also available with replacement tips.
