APEX by BendPak has expanded its shop equipment lineup with new tire changers and wheel balancers designed for daily service work. The additions are aimed at fleet and maintenance operations looking for practical tire and wheel tools for routine shop use.
“Our new APEX lineup is designed for customers who want well-built wheel service equipment they can rely on to get the job done,” said Tyler Rex, senior director of marketing at BendPak.
Tire Changers for Today’s Wheel Assemblies
The APEX AT26 and AT26A swing-arm tire changers are built to handle a range of tire and wheel assemblies, including low-profile and heavier-duty applications. Both units feature an electric turntable with controlled rotation and a bead-breaking system intended to reduce manual effort during tire removal.
The AT26A includes a pneumatic assist arm to help with mounting and demounting more difficult tires, along with additional tools to support run-flat and heavy-duty tire service.
Wheel Balancers for Speed and Accuracy
The AB28 manual wheel balancer is designed to support wheels up to 44 inches in diameter, making it suitable for passenger vehicles and light-duty trucks. The unit calculates corrective weight placement in a seven-second cycle and uses LED indicators to guide technicians through the balancing process.
APEX also offers the AB24M, which can be mounted directly to a swing-arm tire changer to create a combined tire-changing and balancing workstation. The system is intended to help shops save space while maintaining flexibility for different wheel service needs.
