Bill would allow ads on Kentucky school buses

Advertisements could only be placed on the exterior of a bus below the bottom of the windows, and they could not promote alcohol or tobacco products. Fifty percent of the net advertising proceeds would go toward classroom use, and a minimum of 25 percent would go toward student transportation.

District approves fingerprint scan pilot program for buses

Desert Sands Unified School District in La Quinta, Calif., will install the fingerprint scanning system for students on six school buses. The system will provide real-time information as to which students are riding the buses, and to what locations.

Man charged for pulling gun on bus driver

On Monday, the bus driver and Blake Gracie, who was driving a jeep, came to a stop at a red light after the bus driver may have inadvertently cut in front of the jeep in traffic. The two flashed obscene gestures at one another, and then Gracie exited the jeep and pointed a rifle at the bus driver.
