LATHAM, N.Y. — Tyler Technologies Inc. has added Todd Duncan to its growing transportation solutions group in its Latham office.
In his new role as implementation consultant, Duncan will help new clients launch Tyler’s transportation solutions.
Duncan joins Tyler from Washoe County (Nev.) School District, where he recently retired after 30 years of service.
He became familiar with Tyler and its school solutions after he helped select and implement the company’s Versatrans solution for school bus routing and planning. Duncan said that he saw the benefits firsthand, such as the ability to gather student routing data quickly and plan for any changes within the district.
“Todd brings a vast knowledge of student transportation systems and a very solid understanding of fleet maintenance, which will be invaluable to Tyler clients,” said Ted Thien, vice president and general manager of transportation solutions for Tyler’s ERP & Schools Division. “His direct experience as a former client will help us optimize and continuously improve not only our solutions, but also our client support to best serve our growing base of clients.”
Versatrans and Traversa are two of Tyler's school transportation software suites. They are designed to help clients efficiently and cost-effectively manage their day-to-day transportation needs, such as routing and fleet maintenance. Also, Tyler has a range of solutions for school districts to bridge the silos of information between departments with integrated management software.
