Routing software developer Transfinder Corp. has released its own CARES Act designed to help schools overcome budgetary challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The company’s "CARES Act," which stands for Client Aid Relief for (r)Evolutionary Software, will reduce the cost for school districts to access Transfinder’s Routefinder PLUS software and defer payments until July 2021, according to a news release from the routing software developer.
Routefinder PLUS is a browser-based routing software that utilizes Transfinder’s proprietary Artificial Intelligence Optimization (AIO) to create routes and bus stops for school transportation. PLUS has reportedly proven to be critical for school districts dealing with complex routing needs, including multiple tiers, A/B days, and hybrid schedules of in-person and virtual instruction, according to the company. PLUS is designed to assist school districts with formulating multiple “what if” scenarios and give users the ability to define custom maneuvers, travel regions, and curb approaches. The software can be accessed anywhere with internet access.
“We speak with schools every day and we know many have been hit extremely hard by the pandemic. Budgets are in disarray,” said Transfinder President and CEO Antonio Civitella. “That led us to create our own relief package, helping districts access our innovative software for as low as $4,995. With this 'CARES Act', we are truly investing in schools.”
School districts interested in participating in the Transfinder "CARES Act" should reach out to the company via email at getplus@transfinder.com or call (800) 373-3609 by Dec. 31.
