HIGH POINT, N.C. — As a way to celebrate Thomas Built Buses’ 100th anniversary, company leaders and employees spent a day building two houses for Habitat for Humanity.

The two houses under construction mirrored Thomas Built’s own centennial anniversary — Thomas Built employees helped to build Habitat’s 100th home in the area for the Smith family, and its 101st home for the Tran family.

“Building these two homes represents a significant milestone for the local Habitat for Humanity, and we could not be happier that Thomas Built employees were able to make this build possible,” said Susan M. Wood, president and CEO of Habitat for Humanity of High Point, Archdale and Trinity. “Thomas Built Buses has been one of the cornerstones of the High Point community and we are honored that they chose to celebrate their 100th anniversary by helping local families in need.”

“Giving back to the community is a core value of Thomas Built Buses,” said Caley Edgerly, president and CEO of Thomas Built Buses.  “Our local community has given us so much over the years, and we are honored to give back. There is no better way to celebrate 100 years of being a part of the High Point community.”
