The rear wheels of a Baltimore County Public Schools bus dropped into a sinkhole after a water main broke overnight.

School buses in two states got stuck in sinkholes on Wednesday, but no injuries were reported in either incident.

In Maryland on Wednesday morning, the rear wheels of a Baltimore County Public Schools bus dropped into a sinkhole on a road where a water main broke overnight. Police and fire officials reported on Twitter that the bus was from Dulaney High School, and none of the students were injured.

The road where the water main broke is expected to be closed for an extended period of time. The Baltimore County Police Department advised motorists to avoid the area.

A similar incident occurred on a street in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on Wednesday morning. Police told local news outlets that a water main break caused a sinkhole, and part of a school bus became stuck in it. WZZM reported that there were three students on the Kent Intermediate School District bus at the time of the incident, and no one was hurt.
