School Districts: How Does Your Fleet Compare? Weigh In On SBF's 2026 Survey
Share how current trends are affecting your fleet operations, from vehicles and fuels to drivers, safety concerns, and contractor usage. We need your insights to benchmark annual industry data!

We're looking for district transportation team input on a variety of issues by September 25.
The Mobility House/School Bus Fleet
What's happening in North American school bus fleets? That's what we're ready to find out from the folks on the frontline of it every day (psst that's you!).
We need your help to report on the state of the industry through our annual benchmarking and district survey. Your feedback on drivers, challenges, bus purchases, technology, and more, is invaluable.
What Will Be in the Final Report?
- A comprehensive feature detailing averaged results from all respondents, revealing annual route milage, contracted vs. district-owned buses, drivers per district, hourly wages, union membership, technology usage, bus purchase intent, fuels used, and top concerns in daily operations
- Plus, a list of the largest 25 school district fleets across the country
- Top 5 fleets based on route buses
- Top 5 fleets based on ridership
The results will be published in School Bus Fleet's November 2026 print magazine and on our website.
How to Participate
If you're a school district transportation director, supervisor or coordinator, operations or fleet manager, or other administration personnel, you qualify to participate. All answers are confidential, except for the fleet details of the 25 largest districts.
