School Bus Technicians Earn ASE Master Certification
Brad Miller, who works for Durham School Services’ Indianapolis location, and Ian Moulaison at Stock Transportation in Halifax, Nova Scotia, earn the certification.

Brad Miller, a maintenance technician for Durham School Services’ Indianapolis location, has earned the ASE Master School Bus Technician certification.

Two National Express maintenance technicians — one in the U.S. and one in Canada — recently earned the prestigious Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Master School Bus Technician certification.
Master-certified technicians must complete a series of rigorous tests ranging from body systems and diesel engines to suspension and steering.
In the U.S., Brad Miller, a maintenance technician for Durham School Services’ Indianapolis location, has earned the ASE certification.
“Brad is an outstanding maintenance technician. He is dedicated to the excellent maintenance of our fleet as well as the safety of the students we transport,” said Chuck Brown, general manager for Durham. “ASE master certification is well deserved recognition for Brad.”

Meanwhile, Ian Moulaison, a maintenance technician for Stock Transportation in Halifax, Nova Scotia, also earned the certification.
“Earning master certification is no easy task, but Ian’s dedication has proven his excellence as a maintenance technician,” said Troy Phinney, region manager for Stock. “We are committed to placing the safest vehicles on the road, and that starts with our skilled maintenance team.”
Moulaison is the first maintenance technician for Stock Transportation to earn master certification. With locations and team members across four provinces, Stock aims to achieve further recognition from ASE.
In 2016, about 4,500 technicians became ASE certified, and about 1,400 earned master certification.
The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence is a nonprofit organization that works to improve the quality of vehicle repair and service by testing and certifying automotive professionals. ASE certified technicians work in every part of the automotive service industry.
