Prestolite Electric’s IdlePro and IdlePro Extreme alternators have been engineered and tested to address the harshest use scenarios and extended service required to drive down vehicle downtime due to failure or service incidents, according to the company. The IdlePro and IdlePro Extreme alternators are assembled in Prestolite Electric’s production facility in Arcade, New York.
“We’ve seen remarkable lengths of service life through our IdlePro and IdlePro Extreme units. It’s no secret that component failure equals downtime, reduced profits, and increased expense,” said Jonathan Smith, assistant director of aftermarket sales and marketing for Prestolite Electric. “Our latest warranty continues our legacy to provide best-in-class programs backed by best-in-class products. By extending our warranty coverage, it’s going to change the game in our industry and is truly indicative of our customer-first approach.”
The Prestolite Power Promise warranty covers manufacturing defects; premature component failure; worn/elongated mounting holes; damage from a loose pulley or nut shaft; damaged fans; failure due to excess corrosion, rust, oil, dirt/debris, water and heat; failure from loose terminal connections; solder re-flow; and many other common warranty concerns.
