WILMORE, Ky. — Gabriel Tait had a lucrative career as a photojournalist for major newspapers, but he gave it up to attend seminary, working as a school bus driver along the way, the Lexington Herald-Leader reports.
As part of his studies, Tait, who graduated with a Ph.D. from Asbury Theological Seminary on Saturday, worked on a project to enable people being helped by missionary work to take their own photography.
To make ends meet while he attended seminary, Tait began working as a school bus driver for a local district, Jessamine County Schools. He told the Lexington Herald-Leader that he has found much meaning in that job, taking the opportunity to inspire his passengers to strive for their goals and sharing stories from his mission trips.
