Nikki Hughes named to NASDPTS administrative post
The school transportation veteran joins the state directors association as administrative and member services director.
School transportation veteran Nikki Hughes is now administrative and member services director for the National Association of State Directors of Pupil Transportation Services.
Nikki Hughes has been named administrative and member services director for the National Association of State Directors of Pupil Transportation Services (NASDPTS).
Hughes retired earlier this year from her position as director of school transportation services at San Juan Unified School District in Carmichael, California.
She has also served as president of the California Association of School Transportation Officials.
At NASDPTS, Hughes is taking on a role that combines what was formerly two separate positions. The administrative services position was previously held by former Oregon state director Steven Huillet, while the member services position was held by Mary Jo Major.
