The National Association for Pupil Transportation has revealed its planned program for an upcoming Road Show event in Nashville, Tenn.

The event, scheduled Oct. 12-14, will be held at the Franklin Marriott Cool Springs. It’s open to member and non-members of NAPT, particularly student transportation directors and supervisors.

Registration costs $249 per attendee, although state association partners can register for 50% off.

Session:A Formula for Specialized Transportation Decision-Making at Individualized Education Program (IEP) Team Meetings. Presented by NAPT’s special-needs consultant, Dr. Linda F. Bluth. Panel includes Melody Coniglio, director of transportation for Kenston (Ohio) Local Schools; Kimberly Martin, industry engagement consultant for Tyler Technologies; and Teena Mitchell, special-needs transportation manager at Greenville County (S.C.) Schools.

Session:Emergency Preparedness and Response. Moderated by Alex Spann, transportation consultant for the Tennessee Department of Education. Panel includes Ken Hedgecock, national sales manager at United Safety and Survivability; Brenna Morse, school safety specialist; Josh Wickham, director of student transportation for the Tennessee DOE; Tad Roberts, safety and social services supervisor for Meigs County (Tenn.) Schools and school safety mentor for the Tennessee DOE.

Session: Data-Driven Driver Recruitment and Retention. Moderated by Melody Coniglio. Panel includes Andrew Grasty, director of transportation for Sumner County (Tenn.) Schools and Rosalyn Vann-Jackson, chief support services officer for Broken Arrow (Okla.) Public Schools.

Session: A Look at New Federal and State Policies on School Transportation. Moderated by Peter Mannella, preside of Policy Matters and chair of NAPT’s public policy committee. Panel includes Megan Carey, chief information officer for EverDriven; Noelle Ellerson Ng, associate executive director, advocacy and governance for AASA, The Schol Superintendents Association; Josh Hinerman, transportation director for Robertson County (Tenn.) Schools; Kristin Rosenthal, highway safety specialist for the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Session: Purchase and Utilization of Electric Buses. Moderated by Peter Lawrence, NAPT Region 1 Director and Secretary. Panel includes Dale Allred, assistant director of transportation for Greenville County (S.C.) Schools; Abby Brown, transportation research project leader for the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL); Albert Burleigh, executive director for EV business development at Blue Bird; and Kelly White, director of eMobility business development at IC Bus.

Closing session.
