PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — Some 500 transportation employees here recently prepared to take students back to school at St. Lucie Public Schools’ annual in-service training.
The training program was held on Aug. 7 and 8 at the Port St. Lucie Civic Center. The theme of this year’s in-service was “Hop on the Energy Bus,” inspired by the Jon Gordon book The Energy Bus.

The district’s school bus drivers and other transportation team members heard a keynote address by Julie Nee, a trainer with The Jon Gordon Companies. Nee elaborated on the book’s subtitle, “10 Rules to Fuel Your Life, Work, and Team With Positive Energy.”
The district’s in-service event was sponsored in part by Matthews Buses Florida and Seon Design.
