Durham School Services has earned recognition from the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Blue Seal program for its Macomb, Illinois, location.
MACOMB, Ill. — The maintenance program at a Durham School Services location here was awarded the Blue Seal of Excellence for a third consecutive year.
To become Blue Seal certified, at least 75% of technicians performing diagnosis and repairs at a location must be ASE certified. In addition, each area of service offered in the maintenance shop must be covered by at least one ASE-certified technician.

“We are more than proud of our Macomb team’s dedication to not only being the safest, but also the most skilled," said Pete Silva, senior vice president of maintenance for Durham. "Their efforts are truly commendable.”
Durham hosted a celebratory luncheon for all their employees to recognize the achievement of Mike Foulk, maintenance supervisor, and his team. Patrick M. Twomey, superintendent of Macomb School District #185, was also in attendance.
“Here at Macomb School District #185, we consider ourselves fortunate to have Mike Foulk on our team. Our transportation shop has reached ASE Blue Seal certification three years running,” Twomey said. “Mike's commitment to his shop and getting children to and from school safely is absolutely evident and he brings his personal best to work each and every day."
The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence is a nonprofit organization that works to improve the quality of vehicle repair and service by testing and certifying automotive professionals.
