District’s drivers undergo bus security training
Los Banos (Calif.) Unified School District drivers receive training from the sheriff’s department to help them prepare in the event that their bus is attacked by a gunman. The training addresses how to react to the circumstances calmly and use sound judgment.
LOS BANOS, Calif. — Drivers for Los Banos Unified School District recently received training to help prepare them in the event that their bus is attacked by a gunman, Merced Sun-Star reports.
The training was presented by the Merced County Sheriff’s Department, and Deputy Delray Shelton told the newspaper that it was designed to give the drivers hands-on, practical skills.
It addressed how to react to the circumstances calmly and use sound judgment.
