Investigations recently got underway after a bullet was found on a school bus in Ohio, and a bullet was found on a school bus in Florida.
In Ohio, the Aurora Police Department received a call on Friday from Aurora City Schools regarding a suspicious item on a school bus, according to a story on newsnet5.com.
Police reported that a student turned in what appeared to be a .22 caliber bullet that was found on the floor of the bus. Prior to the bullet being discovered, there were no known threats of violence against any students or staff members, according to the news story, and there is currently no information about how the bullet got on the bus.
On Monday, in Tampa, Fla., a Hillsborough County Public Schools student found a bullet on her school bus, FOX 13 News reports.
Sheriff’s deputies and police officers began searching students’ backpacks and lockers in response to the incident. They also questioned students who were on the bus to see what they knew about the 9 millimeter bullet.
Toward the end of the day, a student came forward and said he found the bullet at his apartment complex on the way to the bus. He then put it in his pocket and it fell out on the bus.
