After weeks of teasing, the surprise is now out. AMF-Bruns of America, which makes wheelchair ramps, restraints, and seating solutions, broke ground on a brand-new facility as the company prepares to move its North American headquarters from Hudson, Ohio, to Stow.

The new 41,000 square-foot space will be used for offices and to manufacture its mobility products. Once complete, all operations and employees will move to the expanded facility. The eco-friendly building will have solar panels, pioneering green architecture for the area in Ohio.

The company is excited that the new space will help drive business growth and job creation. An article on Cleveland.com noted that it expects 10 jobs over the next two years.

Peter Haarhuis, AMF Bruns CEO, speaks to company and local leaders at the site.

AMF Bruns' global offices are located in Germany; this new U.S. hub will support AMF Bruns of America's North American customers.

"Laying the foundation stone marks not just the start of a construction project, but a new chapter in our company’s growth," Gerit Bruns told cleveland.com. "It reflects our commitment to innovation, long-term vision, and the trust we place in our employees, partners, and customers."

Check out this local article for a building rendering and more details.

The Stow site is just miles away from its soon-to-be-former Hudson building. The move is prompted by outgrowing its current space.
