Mayor Ken Tedford and members of the Fallon City Council honored seven Churchill County School District drivers during a ceremony on Jan. 23, according to a post on the district's transportation department’s Facebook page.

The drivers, listed below, were each presented with a plaque and flowers:

  • Ellen Clyburn-Jackson, 34 years
  • Toni Dalluge, 39 years
  • Stena Dowling, 34 years
  • Tina Grenamyer-Nickles, 50 years
  • Evelyn Lammel, 48 years
  • Donna Lima, 42 years
  • Marsha Metz, 41 years

Several ceremony attendees, including members of the city council, said that they had ridden on the driver's buses, according to the transportation department. The drivers have a combined total of 288 years of service.

Kenny Mitchell, the transportation director for Churchill County School District, told Nevada Appeal that he was pleased to see the mayor and the city council recognize the group of drivers, and that they were all deserving of the honor.
