Transportation telematics provider Zonar will sponsor two web seminars next week that will examine the topics of school bus driver distraction and crash risks for commercial fleets.
The webinar on school bus driver distraction will be held on Tuesday, March 25, at 10 a.m. PST. It will cover methods to prevent distracted driving, helping to ensure that drivers are always prepared to react amid constant changes in traffic and surrounding environments.
The featured speaker will be Nikki Hughes, director of school transportation services at San Juan Unified School District in Carmichael, Calif., and president of the California Association of School Transportation Officials.
The webinar on crash risks will be held on Wednesday, March 26, at 10 a.m. PST. Author Dr. Ron Knipling will discuss the science behind crash causes and ways that commercial fleets can mitigate crash risk.
Knipling is the author of a comprehensive textbook on large truck safety, Safety for the Long Haul: Large Truck Crash Risk, Causation, & Prevention.
